Omar's 1st scrapbook page for Mother's day (May 2010)
Here's my future scrapbooker - the next generation :)
Omar brought this Mother's day project from school and I just about choked up with warm fuzzy feelings. By far this is the BEST gift I have ever received for this occasion. Moments like this I am so glad that I'm a mom. His smile in the photo is just huge; I wonder if his teacher told him to say cheese? When I photograph him, if he tries to do the cheese grin, I wait till he stops or ask him about his favorite trucks--that gets honest smiles out of him. I even tell him to "stop the cheese" :D But nevertheless, the smile in this photo just pulls on my heartstrings, and I don't care how it was elicited.
So what do you think of his future scrapbooking skills? Notice the use of a few of the design rules: a) Triangular arrangement of flowers, and b). use of odd number of elements.
Omar would like to add that the flowers were made with tissue paper and watercolors ;)
Thanks for looking!
Irma and Omar (the new scrapbooking duo) :D
P.S. I photographed this large size project so that I may include the photo in a traditional scrapbook page. I'm thinking of removing the photo and including it on this future layout. And perhaps one of the flowers? What would you readers suggest?
