CSI: Case File Nr.8

Title: Complicated One
Pavadinimas: Komplikuota

I've made this mixed-media art journal page for 2 challenges:

*Lithuanian challenge swap 'mainų ratas' Nr.4 (theme: to use sewing on your page).

CSI Case Nr.8 had the following interpretation board:
I've checked off every suggested prompt, and had an ease about scrapping when there is definite structure given, yet there's enough flexibility in how one would choose to interpret it.
Also, the color palette is one of my favorites! Thanks CSI for a wonderful 'Case Study'!

My favorite aspect of creating this page was making the crumpled paper. I just got a whole stack of ridiculously discounted thicker weight resume paper. My hubby had a laugh: "Don't you know that no one snail mails their resume anymore?" But I knew it'll be perfect for scrapbooking experiments such as this. I sprayed this paper with water, crumpled it, and then sprayed it with walnut ink stain. Further distressing the page, gives it the look of old parchment paper.

Thank you all for visiting and your comments!
Irma

Beautiful! I love the painterly techniques and the onion metaphor.

I, too, have used resume paper on scrapbook pages, so I know where you're coming from on that one. :) Back in the 1990's, when I finished college, I bought a huge box. But I only used a small percentage of the paper in the box before I gained employment. And now everyone just e-mails their resumes, so what will I do with the rest of the paper? ...why, scrapbook with it, of course! :)

I love that CSI palette too...and the inspo photo totally makes me want to buy pineapple juice and a starfruit and serve it just like in the photo. :)

Oh, geeeeras. Nu tau tikrai tinka daryti meninius dienorascius - super aprasymas, suzavejo tas palyginimas su svogunais, ir pati aprasymo forma. Graziai atrodo svoguno "nuotrauka" - niekad nebuciau pagalvojus, kad galima taip gerai pateikti sita buitiska darzove :)

Sandi and Denise: Thank you for your kind words!

O žali taskiukai man labai patiko.
Labai nuostabus artistiskas skrebukas!

Šitas jau prie meno. ;) Labai suintrigavo! Lauksiu aprašymo liet. k. Atrodo labai įdomus kūrybinis darbas! Skrebukas man atrodo ganėtinai sudėtingas, daugiasluoksnis, jį norisi patyrinėti, ištyrinėti visą, nulupti tuos sluoksnius po vieną kaip tą tavo svogūną. :)))
Labai patiko! Gaila tik, kad nesuprantu, apie ką... :/
