Title: i see scrap
These girls made my day! Thank You!This layout is the realization of multiple inspirations. The concept of the title and photo shoot, came from the movie The Sixth Sense-- Haley Joel Osment's famous line: "I see dead people":
The truth is, I see scrap materials and possibilities in every piece of trash. My "trash" [treasure] collecting tendencies have been often times ridiculed by my family. My hubby holds up a piece of trash before pitching it, and mocks me: "You want to scrap this?"
Journaling reads:
What many may consider it as junk and trash, I see scrap-possibilities in the discarded and abandoned: a potato mesh bag may be a perfect fisherman's net for a beach-theme layout; Bottle caps may become the wheels of a bike. I have enough brand-name scrapbook supplies to scrap my family's life + the 9 lives of my cat, yet what really thrills me, is finding unconventional items for my scrap pages.
When I started scrapping in late 2004, my goal was a baby Omar album. Now, I scrap not so my kids would know me better, but so that I may get to know myself better. It is my creative outlet, my therapy and my saving grace. Love scrap.Techniques:
*For the Creative Type Prompt #23, we had to use newspaper, so I ripped out a page from a dictionary and circled the word 'scrap' and 'scrapbook'. I applied gesso over parts of the page, and used a credit card dipped in black paint to stamp lines for journaling.
*For the Gutter Girlz Dec15 Prompt, we had to use mesh/gauze (I used a potato mesh bag scrap), and a very thin mesh-like fabric backed with paper and matte medium (which I ran through a QK border die), and theme: "I'm only fine" (I'm only fine when I scrap--it's a perfect outlet for my stress).
Supply List:
Patterned paper: Jillibean Soup; Gaffer tape: 7gypsies, frame: KI Memories, Button: JHB (from Joann's); Proverb: K & Company; Date stamp: JoAnn Craft Essentials; Ink: Colorbox Clearsnap; Paint and gesso: Golden; Other: mesh, thread, fabric remnant, dictionary page.
***Thanks for looking!!!

Mintis šiam skrebui (ir nuotraukai) gimė prisiminant aktoriaus Haily Osmento prisipažinimo žodžius filme "Sixth Sense": "aš matau mirusius".
Aš panašiai matau galimybes skrebui menkiausiuose "šiukšlytėse ir skiautelėse". Nors turiu užtektinai skrebo priemonių skrebinti savo šeimos gyvenimus iki žilos senatvės + netgi mūsų katės 9 gyvenimus, mane labiau veža atrasti neįprastų paskirčių šiukšlyčių panaudojimui savuose skrebo puslapiuose.
Skrebo tema atsako į klausimą- kas man skrebas?
Dėkui ;)

what what?!!!!!!!
Girl you are AMAZING!!!!!!
Did you set up the alphabet photo or did you find that somewhere, cause that just blows me mind!!!
I'm so glad we've found each other in this scrappy world! And you're right, inspiration usually comes from non-store bought items - there's a whole different connection when you discover something in a drawer or in a gutter than on a shelf in a store :)
Hi Lara,
Yep! I cooked the alpha noodles, arranged them and staged a photo shoot---the stuff we do for scrap :D LOL!
Koks skanus darbelis :)
Tu nenustoji manęs stebinti.
This is awesome - love the photo you used here!
